1. General Terms

  • Amelia Bernauer is a Clinical Naturopath registered with ATMS and is not a medical doctor. Only natural, non-invasive treatments will be recommended.

  • A health record will be kept in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and will not be disclosed without your consent unless legally required.

  • Where appropriate, your information may be shared with your nominated GP or healthcare provider with your consent.

  • Naturopathic care is complementary to, and not a substitute for, conventional medical care from other providers.

  • Consultations may take up to 90 minutes depending on individual needs but can aso be as short as 30 minutes. 

  • Minimum 24 hours’ notice is required for appointment changes or inability to attend. A cancellation fee may apply if adequate notice is not provided. 

  • Amelia Bernauer does not provide refunds for your appointment if you are unable to attend. You are able to reschedule up to 3 times before you are required to re-pay the cost of your appointment. 

  • Treatment recommendations will be explained fully and require your informed consent.

  • Clients are responsible for following recommendations and attending follow-ups.

  • You agree not to share your personalised treatment plan with others to avoid potential harm.

2. Payment & Fees

  • All fees for consultations, supplements, and testing (if applicable) are due at the time of the appointment.

  • Private health fund rebates are not offered at this time. 

3. Scope & Referrals

  • Amelia Bernauer reserves the right to determine when a case is beyond her scope of practice and will refer to appropriate healthcare providers.

  • Treatment may be refused or discontinued at any time if deemed unsuitable or outside the practitioner’s scope.

  • If your health condition becomes subject to legal proceedings, Amelia reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment.

4. Privacy & Data Handling

  • Intake forms are securely collected via Jotform, which uses encrypted transmission and complies with data protection standards.

  • All other sensitive data is stored on a password-protected hard drive & USB, complying with legal regulations for sensitive health information.

  • You have the right to access and correct your personal information.

5. Telehealth Services (if applicable)

  • Telehealth consultations are provided with the same standard of care and confidentiality as in-person appointments.

  • There may be limitations due to the lack of physical examination.

  • Technical risks such as interruptions or connectivity issues may occur.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure your internet connection and devices are working prior to the appointment.

  • You may withdraw consent for telehealth at any time by notifying Amelia.

  • If technical issues arise, appointments may need to be rescheduled.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be transferred to a future appointment at your request.

  • No refunds are provided except in significant or exceptional circumstances, at the sole discretion of Amelia Bernauer.

  • Failure to provide 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the full appointment cost.

  • Rescheduling 3 times or more will incur a fee & repayment of your appointment cost in full. 

7. Before Your Appointment

  • Please complete and submit your registration form at least 48 hours prior to your appointment at amelia@floreabotanicals.com.au

  • Bring any recent blood tests, pathology, or examination results to assist with assessment and care planning.
